It was another cozy evening of music and friendship we had last night with a handful of music room old timers showing up to hang out and relax. It was a welcome gathering of old friends and the new bonding together in fellowship all night long. The nonstop jam completed the setting with some regular house band personalities along with the young breed of music room musicians in collaboration to provide the live entertainment lasting till past 4am.
It was great to see Air Force brats Ed Diano and Johnny Sarmiento back in the room. As always, Nikki Segundo was present too. Skip and Esmin Aquino’s surprise visit was definitely a sight for sore eyes, as well. A spur of the moment decision for the couple to come and visit, i am so glad to see Skip and Esmin looking so well and good…praise God.
Among the musicians who joined me were birthday boy and house band bassist Rick Trinidad, house band percussionist Vincent Garrucho, the Monotones Ryan Nacino, Pau Villanueva and Ryan Pineda.
It is wonderful to see the collaboration and interaction of the group working well, especially so for the aspiring young breed. I must say that the Monotones’ overt growth and progress is quite remarkable. Surely a big improvement from the time they started. Surely these guys will definitely come to their own in no time. Keep it up guys. You’ve come a long way.
Special thanks to Rick’s wife May for catching up just to surprise her beau on his birthday jam at the music room and likewise to my loving wife Vicky for keeping us company.
And so another night of gratifying music and friendship came to pass. And as always, I am totally grateful to the Lord for the blessing and opportunity. Till the next time.
HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND EVERYONE! GOD BLESS US ALL!
